A little bit about us..
total sport are an Auckland based sports event management company who specialise in the production of sport / recreation events.
Events that get you off your butt and out there giving it a go. Events that are a little different - challenging, interesting and achievable. We like to think that we create and organise 'Great Events in Stunning Locations'.
The total sport team has grown from one (Aaron) in August 2000 and is now 10 strong. We've all come from differing backgrounds, and have generally been educated in and around the sport / event / recreation arenas at various tertiary institutions around the traps. However, it's not really the education that matters the most though, it's our team. We're pretty passionate about what we do and all have interests in the beautiful outdoors - our playground, and specifically running, cycling, triathlon and multisport. The way we see it, you've got to be into this kind of stuff to be able to put on quality events for you.
The way we work is this... the total sport event portfolio is split among the team in terms of its management and event execution. One of us takes the lead role (we call this person the Event Manager) for each of the events, they then direct the show and ensure that everything is in place leading up to the event. As well as the Event Manager role, there is a Course Director, who deals with anything 'course-related'. As well as these very hands on position, we also have a database / admin manager, event support, plus marketing & PR roles that are filled. As we get closer to event day, the Event Manager prepares a team plan, and brings the rest of the total sport team in to ensure that we have a solid crew that will deliver the best event possible for you.
We've been doing it for a few years now and would like to think that we organise events that capture peoples imagination - we've put a lot of emphasis on organising events which take advantage of our fantastic natural surroundings - we hope you can join us on a total sport event adventure soon.
